We're proud to announce that the Wapsipinicon Almanac was nominated a few months back by the Utne Reader as one of the eight best publications in America dealing with local and regional issues.

This was in conjunction with the magazine's 2006 "Utne Independent Press Awards" competition.

Utne announced in its January issue that the High Country News (covering western U.S. issues) won the award, but we are honored to be among Utne's picks.
